Stephanie Osuna-Hernandez is a writer/director born and raised in Inglewood, CA. She started in digital media as a video producer for We Are Mitu, where she made viral videos for a Latine audience that collectively accumulated over 71 million views. She then went on to direct content for various Latine small businesses like Viva La Bonita and Vive Cosmetics. She has directed branded videos for Popsugar with brands like Amazon, NeoCell, and Clorox. She was the assistant to Marvin Lemus and Linda Y. Chavez for season one of Gentefied and returned as their showrunner’s assistant for season two. She worked with Netflix’s Con Todo as a writer and created content for their original titles. Last year, she directed the short film, Dreamer, which was selected for the Official Latino Film Festival and Outfest. She was also selected to direct Sorta Rican for the NHMC Latinx Stream Showcase. In 2022, she was a part of Film Independent's Inagaural Episodic Directing Intensive. Lastly, she was a directing fellow for Film Independent’s Project Involve 2021, where she directed her latest short film, Calabaza. It has been selected by LALIFF, Palm Springs Short Fest, NY Latino Film Festival, and Portland Film Festival. She is working on the script for her first rom-com feature.
